Amazon is one of the largest online shopping platforms in the world, and they offer a large selection of products in all categories. But when shopping on Amazon from Denmark, shipping costs can quickly add extra costs to your purchase.
Fortunately, it is possible to get free shipping when you shop on Amazon from an address in Denmark. In this article I will reveal the 3 easy steps for how to get free shipping when shopping on Amazon from Denmark.
When you follow the 3 steps that I describe below, you will always get free shipping from Amazon delivered directly to your house or apartment, with PostNord (unless you are not at home, then of course it will be delivered to your collection point).
In contrast to other EU countries such as Germany or Italy, there are no Amazon warehouses in Denmark. In countries that have Amazon warehouses, you can pay for an Amazon Prime membership, which provides free delivery for your orders. But it doesn't work in Denmark.
The good news is that despite that, you can still always get free shipping to Denmark if you do the following 3 things:
How to Get Free Shipping from Amazon to Denmark
1) Order from Amazon Germany (https://www.amazon.de)
To get free shipping from Amazon to your house or apartment in Denmark, you must order from Amazon Germany.
2) Shop for 49 Euro approx. 366 DKK
To get free shipping from Amazon.de, you must shop for 49 Euro (approx. 366 DKK). This does not have to be from one seller on Amazon, but your total shopping must amount to around DKK 366.
3) The goods must be shipped by Amazon also known as "Fulfilled by Amazon"
To get free shipping from Amazon.de to your home in Denmark, the goods you buy must be "Fulfilled by Amazon". What does it mean?
Sellers on Amazon can sell their goods in two ways: by storing the items in their own warehouse or by shipping them to an Amazon warehouse. If the items are stored in the seller's warehouse, the buyer (you) has to paying the shipping fees. However, if the items are stored in an Amazon warehouse and sold through the Fulfilled by Amazon program, Amazon handles the shipping and the buyer gets free shipping.
In short, it does not matter who the seller of the item is that you are buying, but it does matter who ships the item. To get free shipping, it must be "Fulfilled by Amazon".
Here are two examples:
These garbage bags are sold and shipped (dispatched) by a company called SMS Versand. Because they are not shipped by Amazon, they do not qualify for free shipping.
These diaper pail bags are sold by a company called WW Commerce, but they are shipped by Amazon, therefore they qualify for free shipping to Denmark.

How Fast is the Shipping?
Orders typically arrive in Denmark within 2-5 days during the low season, while during the Christmas season it can take 7-10 days for orders to arrive so make sure you order in good time.
